  13. For the purpose of garnishing, use a handful of chopped almonds or pistachio (optional)

For The Coating Or Frosting Of Cake:

1. Half cup of mild-tasting honey

2. Two tablespoons of fresh lemon juice

3. One tablespoon of olive oil

Directions:

Preheat The Oven:

You should preheat the oven at around 175 degree celsius before baking. Because it will help the cake come out of the baking pan easily without sticking to the butter paper.

Mixing Of Moist Ingredients:

Add sugar, honey and olive oil in a mixing bowl and mix them thoroughly.Now start adding eggs i.e. one at a time along with gentle mixing. Then add lemon peeling, vanilla flavouring and lemon juice and mix them well.

Add salt, baking soda, yeast and flour in another mixing bowl and mix them well then strain the mixture with a strainer.

Add plain yoghurt to the moist mixture first and mix it well then add dry mixture into it and mix well. Remember not to mix the ingredients too much. Just blend them well to make a soft cake.

Baking The Mixture:

Now add the mixture into the baking pan having butter paper fitted into it and tap the pan to remove air bubbles and bake it in the oven for about 40-45 minutes. After due time, put a toothpick in the cake to know if the cake is cooked perfectly and take the pan out of the oven.
